Mystery number (775) 412-4499

Posted: December 29th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , | No Comments »

I keep getting these phone calls from (775) 412-4499.
They never leave voicemails.
I’ve tried answering before and it says press 1 if your ______ (I can never make out the name) or press 2 if your not whatever that name was.
I’ve selected both and nothing has ever happened.
Today I called it back. The phone was immediately answered by
Amber at 5:34pm 2009-12-29. She said she sees the number is registered for a “Cindy something or another”. I told her she wasn’t even close and she thanked me and said she would remove my number from the account.
Took all of 8 seconds. I still have no idea who/what the company is….

Posted: December 4th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , | No Comments »

Order Placed: November 10, 2009
Shipping estimate: November 12, 2009 – November 13, 2009
Delivery estimate: November 18, 2009 – December 4, 2009

It took awhile for it to arrive. It shipped from the UK. Interesting that there name contains USA when there in the UK….

12-01-2009 12:59pm
Sent the following email via Amazon’s contact seller page:

“You had listed the album as “Condition: Used – Very Good”.
The cardboard case was badly torn inside.
Both cds were sticky.
Both were badly scratched.
One was so badly scratched that it won’t play through all the way. It just skips and skips.
I would either like a replacement or my monies* refunded.
Thank you.”

Amazon’s auto reply after hitting send said:
“Important Message

*Haha! Yes I did send an email that said “monies”.

Changing Verizon account info

Posted: November 23rd, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , | No Comments »

Backstory:
I have Verizon FiOS Internet.
I do not have phone or TV service through them.
I do not receive a bill in the mail from them. Every month it is automatically debited from my bank account/credit card.
I am switching banks.
I have no idea what my account number is with Verizon. So I had to call them…..

2009-11-23
12:36pm called 800-VERIZON (800-837-4966)
Male answered after many minutes on hold and was able to pull it up my account with my name and address. I provided him my new credit card info.
He gave me a confirmation number: XX-00000000000.
He said I had 2 accounts on file and didn’t know what account it was for. He just updated my billing info only.
The active account number could be either
0000000000000
or
X000000000 (odd that there both different sizes….)
He advised me that when I sign in online that I would need to know that 10/19 or 11/19 is my last billing date for the website.
He tried to upsell me FiOS TV for an additional 55 monies a month. I told him that was way too much. He stated in a shocked voice “You think $55 is too much a month for TV??!” I told him “Yep!” Netflix is $9 bucks a month.

When he tried to upsell me internet speeds he couldn’t give me the advertised online price. He also said I would need a one year agreement if I wanted the faster plans (or pay more a month with out having a commitment). I declined due to that.

A reply I received from DeepDiscount today. Along with a second email containing the “prepaid postage label”.

“We apologize that you never received your prepaid label. We will send you another prepaid postage label via email. Please check your spam and junk mail for this label. Upon receipt of the returned merchandise, we will issue a credit for the return and a charge for the replacement order. You should receive your replacement order 5 to 10 business days after we receive your return. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Again, thank you for writing DeepDiscount.com. We appreciate your business.

Why didn’t they send the first “prepaid postage label” via email???!!?!!

DeepDiscount.com ships duplicate item

Posted: October 28th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , | No Comments »

Ahhhhh DeepDiscount…. I swore I would never use them again. But they were having a crazy crazy sale over the summer.

07-16-2009 I placed an order for $410.22 worth of merchandise (the sale was crazy crazy crazy good!). Quite a few took awhile to ship. They were in a “backorder” status forever.

07-18-2009 they shipped the Album Twitch by the band Ministry. I received it a few weeks later (which is standard shipping time for DeepDiscount (but it’s free shipping!)).

08-17-2009 I received an email advising me that the album Filth Pig by Ministry was shipping with an ETA of 08-26-2009 through 08-31-2009.

09-28-2009 I received an email stating that they were applying me a credit for the price of Ministry’s Filth Pig to my credit card. I guess they hadn’t shipped it when they said they were going to in the previous email. I had totally forgotten about it or I would have contacted them earlier about it.

09-29-2009 I received an email from them that the album Filth Pig by Ministry was shipping with an ETA of 10-08-2009 – 10-13-2009.

10-14-2009 I received a package from DeepDiscount (a day later than the ETA had stated) and sadly it wasn’t the correct item. Instead of sending me Ministry’s Filth Pig they sent me the Ministry album Twitch. I had previously received Twitch from them in July. I sent them an email immediately about there mistake.

10-16-2009 I received an email from them that they would be sending a prepaid postage label to send back to them the incorrect CD. Once they receive it they will credit back my account. Then charge me for the correct CD. They then will ship out the correct CD with an ETA of 5-10 Business days.

10-28-2009 I just realized today I never received this prepaid shipping label and sent them an email…

AT&T’s data network just fails on the iPhone

Posted: October 6th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , | No Comments »

2009-10-06 Tuesday Second call to AT&T to resolve no outgoing text/MMS (I can receive them just fine. It’s weird) or internet at work.
4:32pm called AT&T
4:35pm he placed me on “hold” (sounds like mute to me since there is NO music nor anything else) while he researches the issue.
4:39pm still on hold.
4:40pm he came back from hold. Had me turn off phone and remove the sim card.
4:41pm placed me back on hold while he does something on his end.
4:43pm he cames back and has me put the sim card in and turn the phone back on.
4:44pm he sends me a text and a MMS. I only received the MMS. The text message never arrived.
4:45pm he has me turn off the phone. Wait 30 seconds then turn back on.
4:51pm rep stats that “to be honest lots of problems with the iPhone”
4:52pm has me turn off 3g.
4:53pm has me restart phone since 3g was still showing in the corner.
4:54pm phone is still restarting.
4:55pm he’s resending MMS/text to me while I’m on the 2g network.
4:56pm I got the MMS. Didn’t get the text. He wants to send me to a “TSD” rep. I advised him I can’t now. He’ll notate the account so I don’t have to wait next time.
4:58 end call

ENOUGH ALREADY Comcast!

Posted: March 28th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , | No Comments »

Today I received a flyer in the mail from Comcast.
It made me laugh!
It really did.
In bright orange letters it said:

“It’s not every day you get
an offer this good.”

Because today I got 2 offers in the mail from them and on average I get flyers in the mail from Comcast 4 times a week.
So NO NOT “EVERY DAY” but damn well close to it.
I bet if mail was delivered on Sundays I would be getting them on average 5 days a week.
I should really start keeping track.

Blockbuster receives DVD back I never got.

Posted: March 10th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: | No Comments »

Today in my email I have 2 messages from Blockbuster.com

1st email is for the DVD that I had the problems with 2 days ago.
They have now received it.

2nd email is for a DVD they have received back from me that I never got myself (when I was a customer).
Let me elaborate.
I had in my “queue” The Doors (by Oliver Stone).
NEVER got it in the mail. I reported that I never received it and they sent me the next movie in my list. So I never got The Doors movie but yet I just received an email that they got it back. Weird.

BLOCKBUSTER STOLE MY $

Posted: March 10th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , | No Comments »

2007-03-08
I can’t access my Bank account online.
Thought it may be a FireFox issue. Booted up into the old windows and tried with IE7.
Still didn’t work. Called my bank to find out what’s going on. Before I can reach a rep it tell me my account info and I seem to be 20.08 overdrawn!

4:16pm got a live rep on the phone. He told me what the charge was for it was for $21.something from Blockbuster.com (why I do now know just yet BUT I have a sneaking suspicion as to why)
He tells me that I need to file an affidavit of fraud against them since I had not authorized the charge. Says it will take a few days to get to me in the mail or I can just go into a branch and file it there.
Checked Blockbuster.com and it seems the charged me for a DVD I already returned at a local store.

4:22pm left to go to the bank.

I filled out an affidavit of fraud at my Bank Branch against Blockbuster.

Then went to the Blockbuster store where I returned all my movies.
The manager/owner (?) said I had to call Blockbuster.com to get this resolved.
He didn’t provide me with the 800 number but stated where I could find it on the site.
NOTE: he states that he makes NO money by people using Blockbuster.com and that them using it hurts.
If all his customers switched to Blockbuster.com he would be out of business. I thought that was interesting.

5:22pm got home from Bank and Blockbuster.
WOW I hour exactly!

5:29pm Finally found the 800 number for Blockbuster.com

5:29pm called 1-866-692-2789.

5:48pm reached a customer service representative Marie.
Explained the situation to her. She immediately refunded the money back to my account. From her tone it seemed like this happened all the time. She tells me that it can take 3-5 business days for the refund to appear on my account.

5:50pm end call

I really should have called them to begin with instead of going to the bank.
BUT on the plus side any overdraft fee’s that are going to come up because of this the branch manager girl said just call her up and she’ll “take care of them”. Also she gave me some 800 number to call regarding the online banking. When I called the verified my social and some other junk and reset my online password. They had no clue why my old password stopped working.
